SupaTrigga’s one of my favorite random little VST effects. It cuts up an audio loops into sections, then re-arranges them in real time and applies reverse, slowdown and mute effects to random slices. It’s really designed for drum loops, as you can hear here:

but it sounds great on other instruments too.

Here’s an unaltered guitar loop:

Open a guitar loop WAV on an Ableton audio track.

And the same loop with SupaTrigga activated:

Add SupaTrigga as an insert effect.

Increase the “Granularity” setting to cut the loop into smaller slices:
